Item of the Week!

It is so hard to maneuver around a bowl of salsa when you hate onions. I dip and weave all around so that I avoid the big chunks of onion. I really do not mind the flavor of an onion but I cannot stand eating an actual onion. It is weird, I know but if they are blended up to a pulp or just cooked with something and removed, I am fine but I can detect the smallest bit of actual onion in anything! These are the reasons that taco sauce is a great substitution to top my favorite Mexican dishes with before I chow down.

If at anytime you go into my fridge or pantry, I am almost positive that you will find at least one bottle of La Victoria taco sauce. My favorite is the medium but I always have the hot kind for my Mexican casserole (recipe coming soon). I have been topping my homemade tacos, cheese crisps, and tostadas with this stuff since I was a child. I am sure if you asked my mom or my sister, they have a bottle or two in their pantry as well. Salsa and taco sauce is another item that just never tastes as good as a restaurant or from scratch but as much as I eat Mexican food, I would be blending up a batch everyday. So this spicy, tomatoey, chunk free taco sauce does just the trick. Pick up a bottle and let me know what you think!
