Hoot Hoot
Anyone in the mood for an adorable and delicious cupcake?!? I love to decorate and when I saw these I knew I had to try making them. They would be so cute for a fall party or just a fun day at home with the kids. I went the easy route and bought the can of frosting from the store. I always prefer to make my own but sometimes cupcakes on a whim call for easy ingredients from the store. They were fun to make and turned out so cute! I'm sure your kiddos will love them as much as mine did!
Owl Cupcakes (*Idea from the Hello, Cupcake! book)
You will need:
1 pack of Oreos
1 pack of Junior Mints
1 pack of RUNTS candy
1 cake mix (follow directions on the box)
1 can of chocolate frosting
1 small tube of white frosting
The hardest part about these cupcakes is getting the Oreos apart without breaking them! I can't even tell you how hard that was. When you are eating them for fun, they come apart so easy but of course when you need them to come apart with all the frosting on one side....it's impossible!!!! So have fun with that! Also, in order to make the hair you have to cut the Oreo in 1/2. That is a little tricky too. Use a serrated knife and hope for the best. Luckily most of it is covered anyways :) They take some work but they sure taste yummy!!
They also work really well for a party. Owls are just too cute!
