Baked Tortilla Chips
Baked Tortilla Chips
If you are anything like me, you have an addiction to chips and salsa. So much so that I cannot have a bag of tortilla chips in my house unless I know that I am having people over and they can help me eat them. This makes it hard when I am making a Mexican themed meal and I want some crunchy goodness to go with my meal. Thankfully, I always have corn tortillas. I have learned the easiest and best way to make a few chips to enjoy with my meal. This allows me to enjoy one of my favorite things and also helps me to portion control myself. Plus, they are a healthier version for those of you who are trying to save on calories.
5-6 Corn tortillas
Pam cooking spray
Salt
Preheat oven to 375. Cover baking sheet with foil. Spray foil with cooking spray. Use a knife or pizza cutter to cut each tortilla into 6 wedges. Place a single layer on baking sheet and spray tortillas with cooking spray. Sprinkle with salt. Depending how many chips you are making; you may need to cook these in batches. Cook until golden brown about 10-15 minutes. Keep an eye on them because once they start to brown, they can burn quickly! Let them cool and enjoy!
