Item of the Week!
My family loves to eat pancakes every Saturday morning. When the school/work week is over and we get a 2 day break from rushing out the door, we love to enjoy a nice warm breakfast together. I don’t like to feed the fam a bunch of white processed flower and I always hated that all the pancake mixes on the shelf were made with white flower. Yes, I could make my own but that defeats the purpose of an easy breakfast! With 3 little ones, I am all about less mess! Well I was at my favorite store, Costco, and I happen to see this Organic 6 grain Pancake mix. I was hesitant, because whole wheat pancakes can be gross, but I took the risk and brought it home. My family LOVES these pancakes!!! I had to text my entire family right away and tell them about my great find! To this day, we all have this mix in our pantry. It has a bit of a gritty taste to it that I thought my kids would hate, but they actually love! The texture adds to the deliciousness!! We are milk free at our house so I use Silk Cashew milk and then my oil of choice for baking is coconut oil. They are easy to make and the whole family will be begging for more. I am so glad that I can finally feel guilt free feeding these organic, healthy pancakes to my kids!
A little tip: Add almond flavor to the mix if you feel like it! My family loves it! They are good enough to eat plain!
And I would highly recommend Log Cabin syrup to go on top! Not only is it delicious, and sold in bulk at Costco, but it is made without high fructose corn syrup!
Now go get some mix and tell me what you think!!!
